Bongino Launches Book and a Salvo at the GOP Establishment

dbBook

Last night, Dan Bongino was celebrating the launch of his book Life Inside the Bubble, which is among Amazon’s top-20 in the political category while a Facebook post he launched earlier in the day was firing up grassroots Republicans.

At the party–hosted by the publisher WND in Chantilly, VA–guests ate, drank, mingled and stood in line to get autographed copies of Bongino’s first literary effort. Guests came from as far away as Garrett County, Maryland and the Eastern Shore for the festivities.

Meanwhile, Bongino’s social media message serving “divorce papers” on the establishment GOP was going viral.

An open letter to the establishment GOP.

I am serving you with divorce papers. For those who are unaware of what happened, the establishment wing of the Party has openly declared war on the grassroots.

For those who say this fight is hurting the Republican “brand” I reply; it is those on both sides of the aisle who have betrayed their principles in the name of Party, that have destroyed their “brands”.

As for the GOP, we used to stand for something; a lean, effective government, vibrant and robust individual liberty, and a passionate defense of the value of hard work and a commensurate respect for your wages by consistently fighting for your right to keep more of them. Where do you stand now? I know where the grassroots does.

This is our Party and we will demonstrate to the people we hope to represent that there is a group of people out there who refuse to be part of any “managed decline”. We will only be part of a spectacular American resurrection.

America’s best days are ahead and you and your fellow insiders and cronyists and “Party before country” loyalists, on both sides of the aisle, can bathe in your titles and power now but understand that I, and many others, have dedicated our lives to draining the dirty water from the bathtub.

Consider yourself served.

As of this writing the post has received nearly 4,300 “likes,” has been shared almost 1,500 times, and has been picked up by major conservative blogs like The Right Scoop and Breitbart.com.

Bongino continues to build national notoriety despite his unsuccessful Senate run in 2012. Now running for Congress in Maryland’s 6th district he has appeared as guest host on local and national talk radio shows like The Chris Plante Show, The Sean Hannity Show and The Mark Levin Show. Bongino will face freshman Congressman John Delaney who defeated Roscoe Bartlett in 2012 after the district was gerrymandered to include a portion of Democrat leaning Montgomery County.

The Democrats will fight hard to keep the seat and Bongino will have to raise a lot of money to defeat the wealthy incumbent. The national fame he’s building through the book and media appearances should help with that and Delaney has the albatross of Obamacare hanging around his neck so the race will be competitive.

One has to wonder, though, who wants to see Bongino lose more–John Delaney or John Boehner.
