Dishonesty of Obamacare Finally “Discovered” by NBC; White House Attempts Damage Control
Despite the President’s hackneyed, false promise that “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan,” the so called “Affordable Care Act” effectively makes those plans that people liked illegal. It’s a fact that the old media has been covering up or ignoring for years. But earlier today, NBC News committed what Rush Limbaugh would call a “random act of journalism” and reported on it.
Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”
UPDATE: The story NBC published earlier today has mysteriously disappeared from their website reports Jim Hoft over at Gateway Pundit. If this is an attempt by the Obama administration to put the genie back in the bottle, they are displaying the same sort of internet ineptitude that created the HealthCare.gov train wreck. The internet is forever.
UPDATE 2: The NBC story has reappeared on their site now. NBC blames a “publishing glitch” for the disappearance. The story has been republished here.
EDITOR'S NOTE: A publishing glitch took down our story on policy cancellations under Obamacare. Republished here: http://t.co/HegN2kyvyV

The following paragraph was removed from the original article though (magic glitches edit content now).
Individual insurance plans with low premiums often lack basic benefits, such as prescription drug coverage, or carry high deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. The Affordable Care Act requires all companies to offer more benefits, such as mental health care, and also bars companies from denying coverage for preexisting conditions.
White House apparatchiks went into full spin mode on social media shortly thereafter.

Don't be foooled. Nothing in the ACA forces people out of their plans. No change is required unless ins companies change their existing plan

FACT: Nothing in #Obamacare forces people out of their health plans. No change is required unless insurance companies change existing plans.

Various commentators quickly popped the trial balloons though.

Not all Democrat operatives were as positive about the ham fisted game the Obama administration is playing.
