MD GA banning forms of alcohol while moving toward pot legalization

Last session the Maryland Nanny State General Assembly banned high-proof grain alcohol, now they are close to banning the newly developed powdered alcohol which can be dissolved in a beverage. It’s all for the children of course.  They might abuse these forms of alcohol if they were legal. All the other legal forms of alcohol somehow play no role in binge drinking among young people, apparently.

The Daily Record: Maryland House OKs ban on powdered alcohol

The U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau recently approved several labels for a powdered form of alcohol that can be dissolved in a beverage. Several states have recently passed legislation banning it. Concerns have included abuse by minors and the potential to snort the powder.

Meanwhile our Annapolis overseers continue working toward marijuana legalization.
